Call to Serve Declaration:
In accepting a position, I understand my responsibility to live an exemplary life of Christian character. I therefore state: I have received Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. Prayer and personal Bible study are an active part of my life and I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God that has the answer for our every need.
I am a member, having completed Growth Track, Part 1 & 2. I understand my obligation to be an example to the Body of Christ and to avoid anything that might cause someone to stumble (Matthew 18:6, Romans 14:3, James 3 and Colossians 3:8). Therefore, I commit myself to avoid the appearance of evil and abstain anything that might cause me to transgress the scriptures. I also commit to being a tithe and offering giver, according to Mal. 3:10.
Conflict Resolution: How to resolve conflict as a servant leader, as stated in the Holy Scriptures according to Matthew 18:15-17 “Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church let him be unto thee as a heathen man and a publican.” This is the manner in which all Leaders must handle conflict! If conflict is not handled in this manner it may result in disciplinary action up to and including immediate release of your responsibilities.
I understand and agree to comply with the above lifestyle standards. I also understand and agree to comply with and support the Statement of Faith, Ministry Philosophy, and Biblical and Church Community Standards.
I have read the call to serve job description and know what is required of me to serve and/or its subsidiary ministries. I also understand that I may be relieved of my responsibilities, with or without cause. I understand that violation of these standards and those contained in the call to serve job description may result in disciplinary action, up to and including immediate release of responsibilities.
